We carry out a wide range of other simulations. Among others, we use the programmes Mimic, SIMIT, Petrosim and Matlab.

• To shorten the commissioning of a new pulp mill and thus start production as early as possible, the entire mill was modelled as a digital twin in Mimic. This meant that the new control system could be optimally tested and checked for plausibility, adjustments could be made at an early stage and commissioning could be optimally carried out.
• For optimal control of pulp drying with model-based control, simulations were created in Matlab and validated with historical data.
• A Matlab simulation of an acid water heating system was mapped in SIMIT to simplify the commissioning of the Siemens control system. The simulation could be used as operator training.
